Music is the Universal Language of Peace. Its harmonies transcend limits of socioeconomics, geopolitical constraints and cultural biases. Each human being is endowed with a unique musical sound. Each note translates singularly as one’s life’s mission and, when played in the company of others creates a harmony so powerful, it can change the world.

Adrienne Webster one of the most beautiful voices in the country graces our sanctuary whenever she is in town.

You Can Feed the Needy With a Song? We are currently bringing together musicians from all backgrounds to perform on benefit CDs to help organizations that help those in need. We are currently focused on Bushnell's Outreach Ministries such as our Foodbank, Homeless Shelter, Free Computer Lab, and other programs.

We are inviting vocalists, instrumentalists, choirs and bands to join our cause and make great music together. Our next project is a Xmas CD to be released in October 2008. Music at Bushnell


A wonderful secret at Bushnell Congregational Church is our professional music program. Bushnell has always had a tradition of excellence in music. Our Sanctuary, built in Classic Georgian Architecture is arguable one of the most acoustically perfect facilities in the country. The sound reverberates like the sanctuaries of Europe. The sanctuary houses a 43 rank Casavant pipe organ, one of the finest organs in the area. In the chancel there is also a six foot Apollo Grand piano and a Casio electronic keyboard. During the year there are piano solos, organ solos, piano and organ duets two-piano duets performed on our fine instruments.

Our Adult Chancel Choir is made of professionals from the classical music community, many are virtuosos in their own right. In addition to our regular choir which sings from September through the first Sunday in June, we host many artists from around the community and from around the world. Anyone who has ever been privileged to be part of our musical productions knows how memorable and enjoyable our music program is.

 The adult Chancel Choir is open to everyone with previous singing experience. The choir rehearses on Sunday mornings in room 122 from 9:30-10:15. The choir sings at the 10:30 a.m. worship service. There is also a children's choir that is open to children of all ages and rehearses during the Children's Chapel Service which is held during the 10:30 a.m. service. The Children's Choir rehearses from September -June and performs several times a year for the adult congregation and for special programs of music held during the year.

All of these programs are held during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. For these programs, there is an enlarged Chancel Choir, Brass Ensemble, String Orchestra, and Soloists. There is a solo by one of our professional soloists and an anthem by our Chancel Choir every Sunday-June. The summer music program consists of vocal and instrumental soloists.

There are also special concerts during the year as a part of the Bushnell Concert Series. These are concerts of vocal and instrumental compositions performed by internationally known artists.
